Research Services

When not on display, our collections are housed at the Thompson-Pell Research Center, located at 30 Fort Ticonderoga Road, just before the entrance to the Fort.  The research center was named in honor of Colonel and Mrs. Robert Means Thompson and Sarah and Stephen Pell, founders of the Fort Ticonderoga Museum.

The Thomas Pell Research Center
at Fort Ticonderoga

The Thompson-Pell Research Center is the museum’s research and storage facility for the object and library collections.

The library, archival and artifact collections are all accessible for research purposes.  Nearly 40 thematic research bibliographies serve as finding aids to guide researchers through the library collections.  Historical inquiries may be made by mail, e-mail, telephone, or fax.  All inquiries will be answered in the order they are received, and we strive to answer them in a timely fashion.
